Construction method:
① Ground treatment
First, the lower layer is leveled and rolled, and the flatness is required to be no more than 15mm, and the compaction degree meets the design requirements. The surface is strictly prohibited from hard protrusions such as gravel and boulders.
② geogrid laying
a. When storing and laying geogrids, avoid exposure to sunlight and prolonged exposure to avoid performance deterioration.
b. Lay perpendicular to the direction of the line, the overlap meets the requirements of the design drawings, the connection is firm, the strength of the connection in the direction of force is not lower than the design tensile strength of the material, and the overlapping length is not less than 20 cm.
c. The quality of the geogrid conforms to the requirements of the design drawings.
d. The construction shall maintain continuity without distortion, wrinkle and overlap. Pay attention to tightening the grille to make it bear the force, and manually tighten it to make it even, flat, and close to the lower bearing surface, and use measures such as inserting nails to fix it.
e. When the geogrid is used, the direction of the long hole is the same as the direction of the cross section of the line, and the geogrid should be straightened and flattened. Grille ends are treated as designed.
f. Fill the geogrid in time after paving, and the interval should not exceed 48h to avoid direct sunlight exposure.
③ Packing
After the grating is laid, it should be filled in time. The filling is carried out symmetrically according to the principle of "first on both sides, then the middle", and it is strictly forbidden to fill the middle of the embankment first. The filler is not allowed to be directly unloaded on the geogrid, but must be unloaded on the soil surface that has been paved, and the unloading height is not more than 1m. All vehicles and construction machinery are not allowed to walk directly on the paved geogrid, and are only allowed to drive in the direction of the embankment.
④ Roll up grille
After the first layer of filling reaches the predetermined thickness and is rolled to the design compactness, the grid is rolled back 2m and tied to the previous layer of geogrid, and the anchorage is manually trimmed and 1m of soil is built on the outside of the rolled end to protect the grid. fence to prevent vandalism.
⑤ According to the above method, finish the laying of one layer of geogrid, and follow the same method and steps to lay other layers of grid. After the grids are laid, the upper embankment will be filled.
Construction Notes:
① The direction of maximum strength of the grid should be consistent with the direction of maximum stress.
② It should be avoided as far as possible to avoid the heavy vehicle driving directly on the paved geogrid.
③ Minimize the amount of cutting and sewing of geogrids to avoid waste.
④ During construction in cold season, the geogrid becomes hard, and it is easy to cut hands and wipe knees, so pay attention to safety.
